PS, i like pies...

Looks like the current approach could look weird with some different iconset (especially with more colorful one, one could have difficulties noticing the pie on top of it).

When the usability is concerned, bars are more desired when comparing multiple statistical variables (national growth per year), while when percentages are concerned, pies are the way to go (and to increase the usability even more - these are color coded - from blue, through yellow to red).

If they are not perspective correct it looks not nice.
Please, consider the option to use the same lines/bars as Dolphin or Device Notifier.

While I personally prefer the appearance of the pie chart (from looking at the screenshots) I must say that the quote above from litb may be the most valid argument in favor of bars that I've read yet in the comments on both of the posts I've read about this feature.
If there is no chance of adding an option for bars, then at least some way to make the pies stand out more clearly separated from the icon might be worth thinking about, just to clear away that little concern once and for all. (Perhaps some kind of shadow or border added to the pie to make it stand out a bit more clearly.)
@Ivan Čukić: May I say that Lancelot is currently my favorite launcher menu of all. Better by far than my previous favorite ("TastyMenu" on KDE3). Keep up the great work. :)

"@Ivan Čukić: May I say that Lancelot is currently my favorite launcher..."
Yes you may :) The TastyMenu was my choice also in KDE3.

I'm trying to keep everything in Lancelot generic enough with a complete model-view separation, so introducing a widget just for a specific model is not an option.
And... I like pies ;)
